Another "downside" to keto!

Well for years they asked me to be Santa. This year they didn’t even ask.

I heard that the “original” Santa was a skinny Northern European elf, and the jolly fat Santa is an American creation from Coca-Cola marketing in the 1920s.

Not sure if true or urban legend, but if true, Coke even made Santa fat! :joy::laughing:

Coca-Cola hired an artist in 1931 to create a Christmas ad of Santa Claus (St. Nicholas) drinking Coke. The jolly white-bearded fellow in a bright red suit remains the personification of St. Nick today. Apperently before this personification, Santa had sometimes been scary.
