Another continuous blood glucose monitor came on market in the US

It’s over the counter (no doctor prescription needed). Slightly better pricing:

Edit: Sorry, I didn’t see that the 12-week version was a subscription. I don’t want that.

Cool!

The data I got when I wore one for 10 days about 18 months ago was very interesting and I would like to wear one again. I am not diabetic so not elligible for a prescription (a freind gave me one of his to try).

Let me know if you try it out and what you think of it.

TIA

I can use my HSA card and pay for it tax-free

ETA: Their app only works on an iPhone 11 or higher. I have an iPhone 15 so not a problem but a few months ago I had an iPhone 8 and a lot of folks prefer Android.

Jane, where did you see the info on the apps?

I have an Android, although my daughter (who I’d like to see wear one) has iPhone, though she has a cheaper model.

I wore one for a year from Sweden then the US version for a bit (a month? two months?). I found all kinds of interesting stuff, like for a high carb meal (except for pizza), my blood sugar goes up and is back down to the original value in about an hour. Real pizza causes the worst blood sugar (high, for a long time). “Safe” soup from an Asian restaurant caused high blood sugar (I’m assuming from the thickener?). And a lot more.

Scroll down and it is listed under the picture of the phone.

And under the Select Your Plan at the upper right it says it requires iPhone 11 or later.

Bummer. That’s way too restrictive.

I thought so, too even though it would work with my phone.
