Well… I have another coffee creamer question. Everyone on this forum has been a huge help. Walmart is now carrying “Stok fueled coffee creamer” they have a few different flavors. And I bought some of the Unsweetened one. Its okay… the ingredients look pretty keto friendly. Says 0 sugars, and 0 carbs. Mtc oil. And warns not to start off with too much. I realize MTC can cause some stomach upset. My husband has experienced it. Anyone have any thoughts on this brand? I am not sure if I will buy it agian. Need some input!! Thank you all!!!
Another coffee creamer question?
Not bad, but the carbs (I’d guess from the milk) could add up fairly quickly at 2/15:
I make my own keto mix using whipping cream. I get a lot more ‘creamer’ with a lot less carbs. But if you don’t have time or want to mix your own, this stuff looks OK, as long as you realize there’s substantial carbs per tablespoon (15 grams) and use accordingly.
yeah figured it was too good to be true. Unfortunately I cant do HWC Love it , but will be up all night if I consume it. Have a terrible dairy intolerance. Thank you! I wont buy it agian…maybe just on an occasion.
You could substitute coconut cream. It’s lower fat (~23%) but about the same carbs as whipping cream. Actually a little less carbs than whipping cream depending on brand and whether various ‘gums’ have been added. If you purchase coconut cream in a can, do not invert or shake. The cream has separated already and if you open the ‘top’ end (the way you found it on the grocer’s shelf), the cream will be concentrated there. You can just scoop it out because it’s solid. Nearly all the carbs will be left in the conconut ‘milk/water’ remaining in the can.
Read the label! There are a lot of coconut creams out there and many are sweetened and contain lots of other stuff you probably don’t want to ingest.
To be honest with you after reading the ingredients I’ll stick to my bulletproof coffee. Grass fed butter, MCT oil and dash of heavy cream.
I drink it without the cream.
And if you want some flavor in your coffee Stevia offers many varieties of flavors.
Ice coffee with stevia and heavy cream is my desert. It combats diet fatigue day after day. If there is a reason to avoid heavy cream I haven’t heard about it.
I go through a liter of whipping cream (36%) every 5 days. Keto coffee, creamy bone broth, various ‘mixes’ with whey and/or casein. Fortunately, I have no problems with dairy. I dropped ‘sweet’ long ago and have no desire for it. In fact, I think eliminating sweet enables your taste buds to become more sensitive to the multiple flavours in foods you don’t know are there. To me now, many foods, including cream, taste ‘sweet’ whereas before keto they tasted rather bland.
Just use MCT oil powder, or get some emulsified MCT oil, if you specifically want a creamer… but what’s wrong with using actual cream?
I Love HWC! But Dairy and me dont get along! I have tryed it so many times! It will have me sitting on the couch all night. I will look into the emulsified MTC . I’m always looking for a coffee creamer that I can enjoy without side effects.
I have never purchased collagen or MTC oil and my keto experience has been pure success. I use heavy whipping cream 40% fat that I buy from Costco in my coffee. If a person is not able to use dairy then I highly recommend Almond Breeze creamer. It has zero carbs and creams up coffee very well.
Really! I will ck it out! And look up the ingredients. Thanks for the suggestion.
