Am I going to get kicked off this forum if I admit this?

omg, It is time for me to just read and not post.

We drink espresso from a little espresso machine.

(Aimee Moisa) #23

I drink espresso because 1) I’m Cuban and 2) I like how coffee makes me feel.

#24

greca?

(Brian) #25

Nah… stuff happens.

(Aimee Moisa) #26

Damnit, here you go.

(Aimee Moisa) #27

Damnit, Alley, how did you know that’s what I was doing? LOL

#28

Cuban!!

(Aimee Moisa) #29

Paul, what other sugars are in my diet? Am I missing some hidden sugar that you’ve noticed I’m eating?

(Aimee Moisa) #30

Happens to the best of us. (But not me 'cause I’m better than the best.)

Woah, I’m in full-on snark mode today. Sorry 'bout that! LOL

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #31

Oh no, sorry! I was talking in more general terms than your specific diet. Just going through the rationale why you really, really want to be careful with sugar. If the sugar in your coffee is all you’re getting, and you are staying low-enough carb to avoid stimulating insulin, you’re cool.

Again, my apologies for not being clearer. I obviously haven’t had enough coffee today, lol! :coffee::bacon:

#32

fructose does not give you a insulin response, it just goes right to fatty liver.

(Larsen) #33

It’s a sad day :disappointed_relieved:

(linda) #34

Ok so - expresso!
Not sure what you want here - you sound rather playful about eating sugar.
It’s pretty well accepted that sugar is bad for you (as well as processed carbs) - that is kind of the general basis of following KETO - but if it works for you to eat sugar - go for it!!

(Aimee Moisa) #35

Oh, yeah. This is totally just meant as a playful thread. Lecture away if you want to, but I’m happy to ignore it if I don’t like it.

(linda) #36

Got it!
Didn’t make sense since you had written the extensive letter on behalf of your husband - revealing your long history of health concerns and how the ketogenic lifestyle helped you – on another thread.

Not interested in lecturing anyone??

(Aimee Moisa) #37

Oh, I don’t lecture anyone. I believe in you-do-you and I-do-me. If someone wants help I’m happy to give everything I have, but I wait for requests.

I LOVE heavy whipping cream , I applaud you on your progress, I have now gone to no sweetner in my coffee and it really is good to me now. Like you said baby steps … and good for you.

(Ashley) #39

Why not just try liquid stevia or a bit of erithrotyl or something like that? I very very rarely will have stevia drops in mine if I’m doing cold coffee with heavy cream and almond milk. And then can slowly dial it back off sweeteners too

Try putting some salt in your coffee, it cuts down on the bitter taste.
