Plastic is such a huge problem. We can’t actually recycle much of the stuff.

I don’t know why we’re not putting more emphasis on plastic instead of pretty much anything else.

I thought ‘200,000 a minute’ was jaw dropping! and yes, mostly not recycled. Not that I think recycling is that effetive at best.
My father worked in forestry all his life, he says that since paper recycling, the part of the tree once used for paper is now left to rot!

I find it ironic that what we may have lost in paper use is seemingly well made up for by cardboard use. Perhaps a bit less junk mail and paper print out, as they encourage us to do everything on our phones, including ordering package after package after package from Amazon, individually shipped halfway around the world. Great.
