After I've met my daily macros

(Kimberly) #1

So the other day I had reached my macros by lunch. What do I eat for dinner? Or should I stop eating for the rest of the day?

That depends on where you are in your journey, what your goals and and if you are fat-adapted.

Me? I’m in maintenance mode and can easily fast now so I would opt for A) zero carbs for dinner - meat and fat and no dairy or B) fast and skip dinner. If really hungry then I would C) eat my normal low-carb meal and do OMAD the next day. Easier for me to skip breakfast and lunch than dinner if IF’ing

Better to go over your protein and fat for dinner than carbs if you don’t want to fast.

I find it difficult to eat too much protein or fat, as long as you’re keeping carbs low.

Do you need dinner? Are you, or will you be, hungry? If so, eat mostly fat, some protein, but as few additional carbs as you can manage.

One aspect I’m trying to add is a play on the quote, “Eat food, not too much, mostly plants”, adjusted for keto:

“Eat when hungry. Stop when full. Mostly meat.”

Do you mean the macro percentages, or the actual grams you’ve consumed? Both very different.
