Here’s another reason why epidemiology is often wrong, called the adherer effect. Adherers (like me) are people who, for instance, take their drugs when required, on schedule, no matter what. What studies show is that people who are adherers are healthier, even when taking PLACEBO. See the following, from Dr. Kendrick:
