Have you tried drinking flavored sparkling waters like Le Croix? Those helped me kick my sweet soda addiction.

Artificial sweeteners are not ideal, but if that’s where you are right now, so be it. If you are insulin resistant, it’s important to test your blood glucose with each sweetener and see if it illicits a response in you. It’s extremely idiopathic, so that’s the only way to know.

The older sweetners are cheaper and therefore found in a wider range of products. Although stevia is my first choice, I also use sucralose since it’s widely available and I tolerate it well.

I sweeten everything, too (tuna salad, for example). Might not be ideal, but that’s a battle I won’t worry about for now.

I use pure sucralose powder (NOT Splenda) to make my own liquid sweetener. Use 100 ml water with 26 g sucralose for one drop to equal two teaspoons of sugar. I divide mine into one-ounce bottles and freeze all but one (keep the current bottle in the fridge for longest life).

All the mentioned items are available on Amazon.

There is a supplement called gymmnera that helps manage sugar cravings.
