Hi,
I’m just wondering how accurate I have to be when estimating fat consumption.
For instance, tonight I made shrimp. I used 1tbsp of coconut oil while cooking them. When I took them out of the pan, most of the oil was still in the pan. Do I have to eat that oil? The same is true with butter when I fry eggs or all the salad dressing that clings to the bowl. Must it all be eaten? I log it on MFP but as I said, I’m not sure it’s accurate?

I don’t log anything, I just eat fat to satiety. When I’m full, I stop eating! I also pour all the fats from the pan into my plate then lick the plate clean😀 Yum!

I’d track carbs and protein for accuracy (in grams, not percent) and not worry too much about fat macro as a goal. It is helpful to know what it is sometimes, but you can maybe guess at it.
