5 Weeks In - feeling tired

Hi Everyone! I’m nearing the end of my 5th week of keto. Weeks 1-4 were amazing. My energy level and mental focus were through the roof. Now in week 5, I’ve been sleeping poorly due to massive leg cramps and headaches. My energy level is super low. My ketone readings have lowered as well. I’ve been taking extra magnesium, and a lot of extra salt, but it only helps a little. I’m keen to KCKO, but I just need some reassurance that this too shall pass. Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you so much!

I’m with you on the fatigue, and I’ve read that it could be a nutrional imbalance of some kind. I also think that part of it may be in my head. Like I’m supposed to all of sudden fell like a superwoman and clean my whole house. Keto effects everyone differently. I’d try B vitamins and potassium and see if that helps!

I second the potassium suggestion.
Tuna has alot.

Avocado, leafy greens, nuts and seeds. For even more potassium and magnesium.

I watched a recipe video on YouTube for an electrolyte salad. It’s delicious. All the things listed above all in one bowl

Especially make a point of increasing your salt, since it will help with your magnesium and potassium levels. Try to get 2-1/2 tsp. a day of table salt (but this includes the salt already present in your food).

Thank you to all of you for your suggestions! Potassium was the thing I was missing. Yesterday I started drinking @Brenda 's Ketoaid, and today the rocket fuel is once again coursing through my veins!! Ketone readings are up! Slept like a baby last night, no headache, no leg cramps. Life is good. Thanks everyone!
