4 Weeks into Keto, doing well, and on a solumedrol burst for a root canal. What to expect?

HI,
My DH and I are 4 weeks into Keto and doing well. However, I had a root canal last Thursday that flared up some wicked nerve pain and now I am on a 5 day solumedrol burst-- day 3. I am not sleeping super well, but have been rock solid on the Keto plan.
Does anyone have any experience they want to share with me on what to expect?

Yep. Your blood sugars will go up whilst taking the steroid and probably stay high for 3-5 days after.
If it is medically indicated then just have to wait it out.
If there is an alternative- maybe other type of anti inflammatory- then probably a better option but you are halfway there now.
Be fastidious about your carbs but don’t expect any weight loss - probably more likely to gain a little over this period.
