But I do wait don’t I still have to make up for all the macros
2nd day dont know
No. The only macro you need to try to get close to is your protein one. If you’re not hungry don’t eat. That’s actually how this diet works so well. It makes people less hungry.
Search the web for Intermittent Fasting and Time Restricted eating. Very powerful tools in association with keto.
Good luck.
@Ilana_Rose @KHAN THANKS !I ALSO SAW THIS MORNING THAT I OVER DID IT IN MY CALORIE INTAKE. HOPEFULLY I LEARN HOW TO USE THIS APP AND USE KETO THE RIGHT WAY !
Don’t sweat it. Early on the most important thing is to keep the carbs down. Counting calories and trying to perfectly match a predetermined set of macros is a slippery slope. Tacking early on, or for those who just feel they need to is fine. But just know that the calories listed for the food, and what your body actually absorbs is an estimate at best. So just try to relax, pay attention to the details, and what works for you will become apparent with experience. If you’re hungry, eat. If your not, don’t. You’ll be under one day, and over on others. Your body has ways to tell you what you need. The hormonal changes keto brings will help you hear these signals.
KCKO(keep calm, keto on)
Like @KHAN said, right now and for the first six weeks on keto the most important thing is to make sure to keep your carbs as low as possible. And you did absolutely perfect there.
Ignore the calorie level, or be sure to set the app to “Maintenance,” even if you want to lose weight. Let your appetite determine how much you eat. As long as you keep your carbohydrate low enough, your body will be able to tell you when you’ve given it enough food. (This may take a week or two to get sorted out, so don’t worry about how much you are eating at first.) And in a low-carb, low-insulin state, it now has access to the fat stored in the fat tissue, so it will be sure and use some of that, as long as you don’t eat too little and signal that there’s a famine going on.
