27 days on Keto and lost 3 pounds. Help

#21

Yes - but it takes 18 to 36 hours for the contents of your stomach and liver to empty of stored energy based upon consumption and stores. After which time your body should be producing ketones, now your body needs another 24 to 36 hours to adopt to consuming its new fuel.

The best thing you could do is be super disciplined for four days straight, then you’ll feel the net result of your body being fueled by ketones. From your body’s perspective - Food cravings will be gone, energy will be balanced throughout the day, you won’t be hungry, your cloths will start fitting differently… now, from a phychological perspective, each time you feel hungry ask yourself if you are simply bored…

just finished eating for the day. 1425 cals 89p 119f 7c and thats 72/26/2 on the macros. Tomorrow if I eliminate the 2 tbsp of peanut butter, that will be 1 carb total tomorrow. Also planning on just one meal tomorrow vs 2 today. Oh and no more diet mtn dew, which I love.

Just curious as to why you’re dragging up a year old thread with a deliberately argumentative comment?

There are actually plenty of people who have issues with health and weight loss due to artificial sweeteners. If you’re lucky enough not to be one of them then that’s great for you, but not everyone is that lucky.

I don’t want to waste time discussing with someone who is clearly just looking for an argument, but there’s plenty of research to back up the people who experience issues with artificial sweeteners which is why so many actual experts strongly advise against them. As I said, if you are lucky enough not to be affected, that’s great for you but you cannot assume it is the same for everyone.

Just because you can’t imagine the mechanism whereby a zero calorie sweetener might influence weight loss or even gains doesn’t mean there isn’t one. In fact, there is a growing body of evidence that intestinal cells have “sweet receptors” which respond to sweetness by increasing glucose uptake.
