21 months

Its been 21 months for me.
85 pounds gone
Diabetes 2 gone
Sleep Apnea gone
Heartburn gone
Dry cracked feet gone
Back pain gone

I started this journey not wanting to go blind, or have amputations. So far, I have succeeded.
If you had told me almost 2 years ago that my self sabotage days would be a cup of cottage cheese, and not a whole cheesecake, I never would have believed you, or me!

Thankful for this group. Thank you!

Thank you, @Wishbone!

That’s some great success! Thank you for sharing it. :+1:

@Wishbone that’s awesome. I love hearing good results like yours because it helps me keep the bigger picture in mind. I’m like…40ish days in now, and Diabeetus is one of the things I’m very concerned with because my dad is an out of control Type 1. I don’t want this for myself, and luckily I’m not even pre-diabetic and would prefer to keep it that way.

Back pain gone, too? That’s bomb. Gives me lots to look forward to. Thanks for sharing :metal::muscle:

Hi Wishbone and awesome story. In reading it I was taken back to my MFP days of caloric restriction. I see the laundry list of benefits that go hand in hand with keto way of eating. The MFP naysayers would claim you reaped all of these benefits because of weight loss and you don’t need keto to do that because calorie deficit does that. I am so glad I am not beating my head against the wall over there anymore.
