I started Keto Jan 1st 2018, what I learned in this year… you will lose a lot of weight quickly mostly water weight… you may have severe leg cramps initially, take potassium and magnesium supplements early on… did the trick for me… they ended after one week of supplements…
Your skin will wrinkle up and lose its elasticity… I canceled my gym membership after reading weight falls off without hours at the gym… this is true, however when I got close to my goal I joined the gym again to firm up…
I found too much protein made my weight loss stop and lbs started to go on. Bacon challenge I put on weight…
I incorporated more veggies and fats without any affect on my keto blood levels and continued weight loss…
The most important thing I realized was my relationship with food changed…
Fasting was the answer to reach my goal… I made it 7 days after the 3rd day you start to gain energy and lose your appetite… the answer for weakness electrolytes…recharging your body…
I mediated, read books I have never read, prayed A lot !! went to the movies without buying popcorn…. I could not believe the time I had in my hands without eating or cooking… most importantly you lose about a 1 lb a day… 7 days is equal to 4 actual lbs that stay offf…,
If you have a cheat day or two… you will probably have the worse headache the next day…like a hangover… my guess the body rejecting sugar…

2018 started Keto .. what I learned in one year
Congrats being a year keto! I did 2 fasts, one 3.5 days and one 5 day. I struggle with not binging after fasting. I want to have more successful fasts in the future, but am not going to push myself before being ready.
I do pretty well with restraint when my family is gorging on carbs. Havent been to the movies yet…the no popcorn could be an issue. Might need to smuggle in nuts and butter and other keto things
Thanks for the congrats …you would be surprised how easy it can be … I took coffee along . Sipped coffee and got engrossed in the movie

I’ve eaten popcorn and it causes little to no blood sugar rise for me. Usually I don’t eat it at theaters (don’t know what the “butter” really is), but do eat it at home sometimes.
Congrats! I hope to be able to say that next year. I did not do well from thanksgiving to Christmas…
I go to the movies all the time without buying popcorn. Long before keto. It’s called being a cheapskate
I did struggle with binges at first however now doing Keto for a year … I have noticed if I binge I get really sick … not sure how long u have been doing Keto … my binges are usually fat fat and more fat …
I’ve been keto since Sept. of '18, so not very long. When I have binged on carbs, yeah its been rough…Almost immediate stomach bloating and intense pain. It makes me scared to deviate from what I know my body needs and responds well to.
Exactly the illness makes me a little apprehensive to binge on any carbs … I also have allergies and the minute I indulge on carbs with any wheat products my allergies kick in… I guess feeling sick keeps us in check …
