I just had my 2nd keto anniversary on March 11. I have lost 80 pounds! I still have 13 more to lose to get to my goal…but I am very happy at this weight. I have been this weight for a couple of months but my body continues to change it’s shape. I love Keto and will continue forever. My husband is on the low carb wagon now…not keto but definitely counting his carbs. He is amazed at how many carbs are in everything. He is listening to his Dr’s recommendations. I would never have believed it!
Thank you to everyone for your encouragement and wisdom the last 2 years! I am not going anywhere!
2 year keto anniversary
Awesome Kathy, you’re doing amazing. 80 lbs down! You must really feel the difference. I’m happy to hear your husband is changing his diet too. I hope his health is good and of course yours too.
Me too especially sugar, most people eat more sugar in one snack than I eat in a 3 month period.
In comparison that’s how much sugar we should not be eating in one sitting.
Feed them lots of sugar and keep the medical industrial complex well funded?
Thanks, David! I feel so much better and am off one of my COPD drugs. I can breathe a lot easier. I have taken my measurements all along also and I have dropped 40 inches…just amazing. One of these days I will dig up some before pictures and take a new one to post.
Congrats on your two year Keto anniversary, Kathy, and your 80 pounds lost, that is fantastic! I wish you all the best with the remainder 13 pounds to reach your goal as well.
Wow; good for you!!!
Very inspirational and shows that this is sustainable!
I would love to lose 60 lbs! Did you do anything special besides eating keto? Like IF or fasting?
I do IF everyday…16 -20 hours. I have done a few 3 day fasts and a couple of coffee fasts. Really, I have just tried to stay 20 grams of carbs or less everyday. My calorie count has been all over the board but I watch the carbs. I rarely cheat or drink soda or alcohol. I stick with it because it feels good. I love meat and always have…so being able to eat what I love is perfect for me. I don’t do any kind of exercise other than walking, because we live in a walkable city, and we have chosen to not have a car.
I started my Keto journey at age 61, on multiple meds for COPD, and post Breast Cancer meds. I didn’t know how it would work for me but I am so happy I tried it. I am a retired RN from Nashville, TN and we moved to Central Mexico in 2016. We don’t have the “Keto” products that are available elsewhere. I am not much of a cook, so I have kept it simple. Bacon, eggs, steak, some cheese, salads rarely. Very few vegetables.
I think this is a wonderful WOE and would suggest it to anyone! Good luck!
@Kathy_Timmons

Congrats! I love reading success stories! It gives me the motivation I need to keep going in the right direction!
