I’m close to goal — 3 weeks ago I started daily exercise. I walk/run 3 miles and I’m on week 4 of T25.
I’ve gained 3 pounds— let’s just say it is muscle. I’m ok with that…
BUT…:. My stomach is NOT smaller or flatter— sometimes I think it looks bigger (measurements haven’t changed though).
Is there anything I can do over the next 2 weeks to get some of this belly fat gone??
— total carbs under 20 and net carbs under 10… leaning towards carnivore diet (tried full carnivore for 2 weeks and when I added foods back I took on about 6 pounds — prob water — anyway I don’t think carnivore is sustainable for me).
Sure would love some advice on how to drop belly fat quickly!! Any particular exercise or eating plan??
2 week crunch - need advice
Exercise is mainly used for general and heart health.
You will not budge stomach fat by exercising, don’t even try.
Diet is where it’s at for losing weight, and you are on the right one.
Keep your carbs under 20, meet your protein goals and eat fat to satiety and sooner or later you will see results.
If you want the belly fat gone, stick to Keto.
It’s very unlikely you’ve gained muscle that fast. More likely water weight. Exercising makes you thirsty. And hungry, but you won’t regain fat if eating lipolytically, so it’s no big deal. Your body has to adjust to exercise just like it does with any other change.
In my experience, when i exercise a lot, I gain weight temporarily. Muscle doesn’t just grow. When you exercise, you create tiny fractures in your muscle fiber - it’s the healing of these fractures that is the actual muscle growth. As in any part of your body, the area becomes inflamed while it heals. That can create a temporary but perfectly normal temporary weight gain.
I am finding that it is extremely hard for me to stay hydrated with the increased exercise (and excessive heat — I live in the heart of the delta - it’s not just hot, it’s humid!). I’ve added some electrolyte support - but I still don’t think I’ve been able to hit the sweet spot. I wish there was an at home Test for electrolytes!
