Hello,
1,5 months in,i dont feel thirsty anymore but unfortenatly i have headaches and feel hungry all the time.
When i eat butter or anything fatty i want to vomit ;/
Drink water with salt and take pottasium with magnesium and calcium.
Eat carbs only from vegetables, under 30g (under 5% of calories)
Last night i couldnt sleep i was very cold and had a lot of creeps.
What is going on?
Maybe its hard for me to adapt ?
How long can i have this symptoms? I start to worry a little bit.
Did blood test and it’s fine…
2 months - headache/hungry
I feel with you. I’m in the same Phase. Today I impressed myself with a new calories record.
Feels like my hunger got worser than less. The headache i got under controll by liking salt, drinking a lot of water and taking extra magnesium, when i feel that my muscles get stiff.
I Heard from Thomas Delauer to eat Most carbs in the evening to improve sleep. It shall increase seratonin and Melatonin.
Well, there is no other jocyes as the wise ketoners say: Keep calm and keto on.
I am sorry for your situation, all I can say is KCKO. As a side note though, calcium and magnesium cancel each other out so i recommend you take the calcium in the morning and the magnesium at night. (The magnesium can help with sleeP)
I’d say cut back on the fatty food if this is what your body is telling you. You may be more fat adapted than you think.
A couple of thoughts: First, are you getting enough protein? How much are you eating—and not total meat, just the protein part? Feeling cold can be a symptom of not enough protein, as well as not enough calories. Although if 30 g of carbohydrate is 5% of your calories, that means you are eating 2400 calories, which should be enough.
Second, how much salt are you actually getting? Recent studies indicate that 12.5 grams, or 2-1/2 U.S. teaspoons, is the right amount for maximum health. If you are not eating that much salt (the salt already in the food you eat should be included in this number), that would explain the headaches.
The headaches at the start for me were absolutely world class, had to resort to plenty of water, paracetamol, ibuprofen and codeine in all honesty, but I’m ok now! Get very few.
Stress/tension can also contribute to things, using your phone/TV/tablet - so it’s always worth looking at the non-keto things too just to positively contribute to getting over the head pain symptoms.
