16:8 fasting from 6:00-1:00

Has anyone done this type of fasting by eating breakfast and lunch and skipping dinner? I have a BPC in the morning and I am not sure if that reduces the benefits of the fast. So, I thought that I could have my BPC with breakfast and then have lunch and fast until the next day. What are your thoughts on this?

It’s fine however it best fits into your lifestyle.

I do it every day. I drink broth and regular coffee til noon. And usually end up going more like 18:6. The BPC won’t effect it a lot. The idea is to keep insulin low for an extended period every day.

I believe there is some evidence that insulin sensitive folks would do better with this plan. I think it was mentioned on the podcast, though I don’t recall which episode. Something about the insulin stimulation tended to last longer later in the day.
I find I do really well with not so much breakfast, a really solid lunch and very light snack at dinner (mostly to be sociable, and to go with a glass of wine)
