12 carbs no sugar OR 7 carbs w/ 4g sugar?

Well, duh! :crazy_face::rofl:

I would pick the food that gives me the greatest joy :smiley: In total, not only while eating :wink:
Amounts surely matter for you a lot. If it’s just a treat, I am very good with tiny amounts, I often just want a taste (or my portions are tiny, it happens with some of my tastiest items. I ate banana with chocolate every day as a beginner ketoer and it was a great idea, I needed that back then. And it had barely any carbs unlike my vegetables… I always say, amounts matter a lot. And each to their own. I always liked that keto (my definition so it’s all about ketosis, not zillion rules) doesn’t ban any food. Maybe it isn’t worth it to eat something and maybe we chose not to for health reasons but it’s very individual.

Oh I’ve missed you @rustyk61! :rofl:

We will have to agree to differ there as it’s pretty standard for me, and everyone I know personally, to ask what / why when they want to know and understand a person’s reason for making a particular choice, especially when said person is requesting feedback as the OP of this topic was. No one can give best advice, or even their own interpretation of it (which, let’s face it, a lot of what is said online actually is) if they have no understanding of what has prompted the decision.

I totally agree with Allie here, the question was simple, straight, it can be interpreted differently but that’s in the reader’s mind, the simple question only expressed curiosity, not inherent judgment.
We can’t always tiptoe around everything and everyone who might be sensitive. While the OP had an extreme, somewhat rude, somewhat funny overreaction (IMO).
Information is really important. I remember when (as a programmer student) we had to cut a text into words, it was our homework for the next time and everyone else was okay but I stayed and asked the teacher what exactly a word is… I often have a more relaxed approach when being on the forum, I write things and hopefully the OP can do something with some part…

And it was a valid question. In many cases people consume things they shouldn’t. We can’t be totally sure that it was a properly well-thought thing (we do it without much thinking so often… at least I surely did and still do sometimes, I got improved though).
I usually leave people alone (I am bad with rules myself anyway) and focus on the question only… If I care more about someone, I ask questions and try to understand things even if it takes much more time and probably useless. It’s very hard to change someone else’s diet (most people have problems with their own).

And in this case… Keto vs cereal… No wonder people are against it. I never could see cereal as an edible thing but I’ve read it’s an American thing, it had the hype there. We have it here but it’s not that a big thing and we probably had nothing like this in my childhood in the 80s.
BUT people are different, I accept that. And even I like crunch.

The best is not to go for certain items but there are exceptions and beginners. (I find it logical to find keto relaxed and make it stricter later as it suited me. I know many do the opposite, that makes sense too, I suppose.)
