0 carbs vs 20 carbs

Is zero carbs even better than 20? I’m thinking of doing a few days maybe a week of zero carb but does it help weightloss anymore so than 20 carb allowance

if you already fat adopted 20 carbs should be OK even though I do better without them.

If you are not fat adopted 0 carbs will speed up the process.

Now I am only getting the carbs which I can not avoid.

I’m 3 months in keto I don’t know when I’ll know if I’m fat adapted

It depends on the person. I feel lethargic and nauseated on a zero carb diet. I also gain weight. Other people do great on zero carb. The only way to know how you will react is to try it, see how you feel and what it does to your weight.

I tried zero carb for a bit, felt lethargic and kind of crappy in comparison to the 10-15 net carbs per day from veggies I usually eat, and it didn’t seem to increase my rate of weight loss at all. There are definitely people who swear by zero carb and report feeling great eating that way, so I’d say your best bet is just to experiment. That said, you’re unlikely to determine whether it’s really helping to speed up weight loss if you only do it for a few days or a week–weight fluctuates differently on keto than it does with other ways of eating, so weighing yourself after a few days or even a week likely won’t give you a realistic picture of whether zero carb works better for that purpose. If you feel good and have energy eating that way, I’d say try it for at least 2 weeks or even a month, and then see if you’ve lost more weight than usual.
