Your thoughts on Shiritaki Pasta

I really prefer konaberry kelp noodles over the other kinds. Kelp is naturally lower in carbs and also has more iodine and minerals. They cook up into an al dente type consistancy and don’t produce the stomach issues that miracle noodles do.

Never heard of these but after seeing a picture online I remember having these in Japanese bento boxes. Will definitely try to buy some.

I’ve never had stomach issues with miracle rice or angel hair, wasn’t aware that was even an issue.

Will check out those Japanese kelp noodles, any excuse to go to an international market.

I have sprinkled a few teaspoons of rice vinegar on the noodles and let it sit for a few minutes. It neutralizes the stink! A quick rinse & you’re in business!

I’m not sure if they are made by a Japanese company. I buy them on Amazon.

Whoa, those things are expensive down here.

I just buy a daikon and spiralise it. #ohyeah

I just bought a daikon from an Asian market. Hadn’t thought of using as a noodle substitute. Sounds like a great idea!

Drain them and tip into a bowl of water to which you have added about a tablespoon or two of cider vinegar. The smell disappears. Drain well, nuke in the microwave for about a minute, drain again, repeat a couple of times.

Think of it like zucchini, but good
