What Do You Think Causes Hungry Days?

MCT did that to me. I tried adding it to my morning coffee but shelved it. It literally did the opposite everyone said I should.

I am a strictly all natural person. No processed foods or ingredients, no fast food type of person. By doing so i have actually reversed my vision. My eye doctors said I was going to go blind. That was 15 months ago, today I see better than I have in decades. The key is all natural foods, and all natural ingredient supplements

The opposite of what?

It’s supposed to raise ketones, which some people find helpful for mental reasons or possibly lessening of hunger (for me, the latter not so much). But ketones can be a double-edges sword: too low might not help, but too high can be bad too.

DiNicolantonio recommends adding salt to fruit.

Personally I just add it everything possible. Salt pills seem agitate my gut.

Ive found that non-stop hunger / urge to eat even though full seems to be a sign that I am nutritionally deficient in something. During a recent long term carnivore period I found myself wanting to snack on something even after a meal. I started eating a little fruit and hey presto, completely full with no more snaking craving. Im guessing either vitamin C deficency or maybe even needing some sugar/carbs fuel (sacrilegious on this forum I know - dont ban me!) or possibly both - all I know is it worked. In the past I think lack of salt may also have been an issue. Theres also the Protein leverage hypothesisis - ie you keep eating until you have eaten enough protein. I personally think the body is pretty clever and will keep you eating until you have satisfied its nutrient (vitamins, minerals, protein) and energy (fat and/or carbs) requirements. At least thats the way it seems to work for me.

If I added MCT to my diet I was hungrier. I honestly think it was just too much. I don’t know, maybe it was the brand? I’m content with my unrefined coconut oil.

Ditto, including my coffee and anything “sweet” like chia pudding or dark chocolate.
