What are popular Ketone Meters here in 2025?

I just don’t find anything “certain”, including gadgets, and I understood lfod’s opinion and respect it.

Yes, I agree completely with this Susan. no need to test at all really, if the carbs are low.

When I occasionally do multiple day fasts, say at least 72 hours or more I do sometimes measure them with my Keto-Mojo meter, just to see what’s happening out of curiosity. I always start out low, but get a high ketone level after a few days. Glucose says normal, but dips a little towards the end. GKI ratio only gets ‘good’ after the ‘few days’ too. This is all very very consistent, so I might stop testing while fasting too.

I’ve been testing and recently my morning ketones went from 0.2-04 mmol/l and blood sugar of around 110 to 0.8-0.9 mmol/l and blood sugar around 100. I started taking copper (2mg/pill), most days, and also inulin (a prebiotic fiber). Unfortunately, I started them both around the same time.

I’m interesting in why this is and when I stop taking Inulin or copper what will happen.

Hi Bob, that’s what I do on occasion, is start, or stop more than one thing to see if it makes a difference  I can look back but seems like you use the keto mojo. I think if I go for it, I’ll choose a really popular one, more money. I spent a bit more on my Fitbit, but absolutely love it, even though I don’t use ever bell & whistle on it.

I started buying small bags of Avocados, and eating one a day. I know I am getting enough fiber, fats, protein. I did buy potassium & magnesium capsules but I don’t take them every day. One thing I have that is painful, is cramping in my feet. I have other cramps as well but not that wake me up groaning. The muscle issues are related to another issue I have, but the magnesium seems to remedy those cramps if I remember to take it

I’m eating more carbs, 20-25 in the avocados (that’s weighing with skin still on) so today I’ll see how much w/o skin. I am changing the subject here, but don’t want to make another thread. I also want to take my T2 blood glucose to make sure it’s not spiking, and staying high for too long, denise

LOL, I like how you misspelled my name:grin: I have misspelled it as well sometimes and always laugh at it as I found if I transpose letters I get Densie, and that is me a lot of the time:face_with_hand_over_mouth:

There’s another vote for the Mojo, that’s the one I’ll try if I decide to get one  I’ll also look at the other types you list, GreenWon, and GKI :+1: denise

I’m sure glad I found this, and if anyone told me about it, please forgive my lack of memory. I bought some strips the other day, just really, for the heck of it. I tried them 2 mornings in a row, and my results were both just “wet” Seriously?? After 8 years of what I’d call strict keto.

So I googled it and got this, which actually made sense to me:

" After 8 years of ketogenic dieting, your body is likely highly “keto-adapted” or fat-adapted. This means
your muscles and organs efficiently burn ketones for fuel instead of wasting them, resulting in little to no excess ketones excreted in urine, which is what urine dipsticks measure". Denise
