And I’m not arguing against that fact. What I can’t believe is that in the context of a ketogenic diet it’s enough difference to be significant.
Let’s say I eat a ketogenic meal with total macros of 86 grams of fat, 28 grams of protein and 4 grams of carbs, which was my supper tonight. I don’t think it matters in the least whether those 4 grams of carbs came from bok choy and Vienna Sausage (which they did) or from a bite of pop tart. If I ate two more meals with similar macros, which I did today spaced out over 8 hours, for a grand total of 10 grams of carbs, I think the source of those carbs even less significant, especially considering I’ve eaten more than 200 grams of fat and 73 grams of protein so far. Before I’m done for the day, I will eat more fat and protein but no more carbs. Minimal, incidental carbs just get buried.
In the context of SAD, and especially a high carb version, I agree it makes a difference. Which is exactly why a lot of people are here now.
