I’ve read into the Spartans and what they ate.Trust me they were in ketosis. I also read them and the Romans fought in battle on a empty stomach.The Spartans even were known to water down their wine. It’s a warrior diet. having stored sugar in the muscle has it’s perks. Just like fighting a person that did a line of coke before a fight. However, keeping the sugar burner going and hitting air for the first few rounds would be a way to out last the other person and move in with a take down later in the heat of the fight. The mind is sharper for sure in a ketosis state. We also have to understand keto is new and it might take a long while to get a body fully adapted eating a carnivore/keto way. Also I wonder if a fighter was fasted for a day or even two and see them fight. Might let him eat some beef fat before the fight.
