Last year I cooked a full traditional Thanksgiving meal, including cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, rolls, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin and pecan pies.
I also roasted a turkey, steamed green beans, nuked mashed cauliflower, made deviled eggs, and dh did a ham.
My family had no idea I was on any kind of a diet. They never noticed that I pigged out on just the last 5 items + an assortment of munchies my son brought (pickles, cheese slices, olives, celery with cream cheese, jalapeno poppers). The rest of the family pigged out on everything. I thought I’d miss eating pumpkin pie but I was way too full to think about dessert. Everyone was happy. We’ll rinse and repeat this year.
