Test strips--urine--what should I be looking for?

Thats me, I have since about the 4-5 weeks in tended to be higher fat intake than most. Things like MCT’s and contstant supply of fats will make you dump more ketones. Yes for some people as you fat adapt they will all but disappear if you eat a restricted diet or have T2D. Everyone is a little different, I have peed on 2 sticks at once and gotten different results as well. They are not a gauge of your level of ketosis to any accuracy. They do tell you I think more accurately how well you process fat into energy and what your body does with. For me its not about chasing ketones, for me its understanding what my body is doing with the energy, were is going and when.

Also, high ketone levels mean you’re wasting a lot and your body isn’t using them for energy, so more isn’t necessaraly better.

My husband, negative. My neighbor is eager to try so when she gets back in town she will be my second guinea pig. She’s interesting because she is extremely thin and hardly eats (by my standards). Her first meal is cottage cheese at noon. And she goes days without starches. I’m curious.

I’m in my 3rd week I believe and only 1x have the urine strips read purple. 1x and that’s it! I feel good, and my energy level is back to normal. So I’m just going off how I feel. Dropped some lbs this week as well so that’s always a goos sign!
