Stop. Relying. On. Scales. For. Progress

I learned to love a trendline. I do weigh daily and log it, then it goes into a graph with the trendline. The ups and downs don’t matter to me, only the trending up or down matters. If it is up, I need to tweak something, if it is down, I just keep on keeping on. I would love to get a scale that auto records for me, but mine is in synch with my dr.'s scale, they match up perfectly, so I’m keeping my old one for now.

I have been in maintenance for almost two years now. I wanted to push my original goal weight down a few lbs. and the trendline shows me I have done just that since the new year began.

I never weigh myself. Don’t even know where the scale is. I had an eating disorder in my 20’s and in my 30’s began eating normally but with some diet weirdness after I cured the bulimia. 70 YO now. Always have been a health and diet hacker. But the scale is a left over stressor from those awful days that I will no longer accept as a true measure of my weight And especially as a measure and controller of my mood and value of my very existence like the scale used to do to me. I am not my weight. I am a product of my health and new love for life on the benefits of keto. So many of them. I did lose some weight I can tell from comments of others and loose clothing. This is MY self affirmation. You all do what works for you, my keto friends.
