The alternative to ketosis is insulin. High Insulin and glucose are key drivers of disease, inflammation and oxidation leading to accelerated aging and illness.

Normal is subjective. If normal is healthy, then ketosis is normal. Glucose and insulin is not normal.

The body reacts to danger quickly. If you consume alcohol, glucose and fat… the body prioritizes your life by removing the most dangerous elements first … alcohol gets top billing, then glucose, then fats because they are safest. Glucose oxidation is so dangerous that insulin literally saves your life avoiding brain damage… but you can consume fat and the body stays calm.

I disagree that most people don’t need ketosis to be healthy. The opposite is true but we have decades of misinformation to fix.
