Ready to quit!

Hi Heather, I’m sorry you are discouraged. So many words of encouragement on here for you. Indeed, you are doing great!!

I’m scale phobic. I don’t get on it. I use my clothes as my main source of information (I’m also a bit of a clothes 'ho.) I’m able to notice changes at least every other week and it just feels better.

Consider all the changes you’ve noticed in your clothing and sizes. That is INCREDIBLE!!!

Find some affirmations to use on a regular basis. “I am strong and healthy.” “This too shall pass.” “I am loved and love others.” I strongly believe in the power of the messages we say to ourselves.

Take care of YOU!!

Let me put this in perspective for you.

I am 50 so I know I’m older than you. I started on Sept 26th, 2018 needing to lose 75 or so pounds. That’s almost 5 months and despite paying a ton to an obesity doctor, sticking religiously to 20 whole carbs or less, changing everything about the way I eat, taking myself off statins, reducing fat after adaptation - and the list goes on - I’ve lost a sum total of about 19 pounds. I’ve lost 2 inches off my waist. Seems like it should do, but I still haven’t needed to buy new clothes, not a soul has said, “Have you lost weight?”

I think you’re doing pretty well. I encourage you to reevaluate.
