Is there any sort of period of time or X number of posts read that new members need to complete before posting? Also do we have a “Pinned post” that we refer new members to with a list of FAQs? I know bandwidth is not free, and the number of repeated posts from new members not taking any time to search before posting is INSANE compared to other forums I’ve belonged to. Sorry for the rant.

This is excellent for beginners, I try to refer members to it as do other members. New members have some time restrictions, but they are not very long. I believe (someone please correct me if I am wrong) that they have to read for 15 minutes before posting. Their likes are somewhat limited but get increased as they move from basic user, to member to regular.

Pretty sure that’s right. For values of “read” that equal “have site open in browser tab.”

I’m pretty sure that “reading” means having to scroll through the thread, too.
