Poop

(Martha Mac) #21

Ok poop question - I’m passing what appears to be pure liquid fat! 7 weeks in Keto. Not sure if I have a tummy bug or ? My macros always 75 to 80 % fat 5% carbs and 20 to 25% protein. This week I’ve been bumping the fat up a bit though and getting mentally ready to do a fat fat fast with 2hr feeding window. I’m wondering if maybe I’m overdoing the mct oil though? Or maybe this is normal??

This describes what is happening, except not bulky or difficult to flush because there is NO STOOL - it’s just oily liquid. Anyone had anything similar? Searching the forum using many different search terms but can’t seem to find anything

I think I just did. I just overate a ton of delicious tasting cheese and milk and it appears to be going straight through me oilily.

Hmmm I did eat a couple of rather rich French tiny baby brie yesterday! I wonder? They so gooood

I’ve noticed my poop and even farts (which now seem more rare?) rarely smell. Well, unless I drink beer then all bets are off :joy:

Just wanted to post in an epic thread.

Would have been far more epic it you: “Just wanted to :poop: in an epic thread.”

I find that my body is far more efficient with my intake while being fat adapted. So much so, that my body is expelling energy that it does not need. I swear I could drop my calories down to 1000 of 90% fat and i’d Be fine.

There is no such thing as trusting a fart, when it is time to go it is really time to go. The good thing is that with the assist of two 16 oz coffees with butter each morning, my entire plumbing is consistent in it’s movements.

Sounds like low hydrochloric acid and/or no bile from gallbladder or impaired liver function? If it is in fact fat?

Or

It sounds more like cellulose from plant fiber NOT fat?

Some folks think it’s mucus lol

Died laughing, I too have come to fear a fart.

I think I just had a tummy bug actually  all better now

Hey there! I’m thinking more on this and want to explore some supplements to support bile production. I’m no longer having ridiculous outpourings of fat that have me running to the loo every 30 minutes but my stool is fluffy and floating so I’m thinking bile is the answer. Any suggestions for a good supplement available in Australia?

We’re still actively talking about poop on this forum, right? Yes? Good!

Over the past few days I’ve been having paler loose stools. Beige, very slightly greeny yellow in colour.

I’ve been on keto 9 months and have been on maintenance for the last 4 months. I feel fit and fine, no problems other than recently getting over a mild cold.

Here’s where I’m thinking (and hoping) the problem lies. Over the last month I have consistently been eating a lot of full fat, plain greek yoghurt, coconut and almonds for breakfast, I also have been a bit lax with my vitamin and salt water intake.

So, my personal solution is I’m going to cut back on the yoghurt breakfasts, and will get back to regular salt water and vitamin intakes. Hopefully that solves the problem, otherwise a little trip to the doctors might be in order.

I’m sure you’re all riveted, so I’ll keep you all posted of my progress.

Good luck, I hope that it will all be okay =). I rarely ever poop, even when taking laxatives… so that is my worry on the subject.

Well, it seems it was all from the overconsumption of greek yoghurt. Stayed off the yoghurt for a few days and everything has returned to normal.

The End.
