Parmesan cheese question

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #21

Consumer Reports, a few decades ago, ran a hilarious article about the legal terms used to sell cheese in the United States. They ran all the way from “cheese,” which is the real stuff, through “processed cheese,” which is blended, all the way to “processed cheese food spread,” which is the stuff that comes in a spray can. No doubt the terminology has changed in the years since, but that article is a fond memory.
