Metformin - yes or no?

Blimey, guess it’s popular with the rich and famous?

It wasn’t all that long ago, that rapamycin, which activates mTOR, was shunned, because mTOR works against longevity. I’m not sure the new view is any more in tune with reality.

Phew! just for a moment I thought I might see ‘You’ve tried everything else, why not try metformin’?

Not sure, but many of the longevity folks are taking rapamycin, metformin…Robert Lufkin, MD, on threads is going on and on and on about rapamycin.

These are the kinds of articles I’m seeing:

Yup, I follow a bunch of longevity gurus and some mention it. I believe Peter Attia even tried it. Here is another episode where he discusses it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REfhd5k5n0o&ab_channel=PeterAttiaMD

Is it possible that it is the brand? Obviously do what your doctor advises but I am wondering if there was a filler that irritated your stomach. These are all generic so what else is in it changes by company
