I agree with @Shortstuff Allie, I would not buy such products if they were available. I prefer to source my own fresh ingredients from local producers and prepare them at home.
Maintain sustainable keto lifestyle
It’s a great idea Alex. I might start it as a business. Sounds like it would compete against something like the hugely successful “Hello Fresh” idea. I’ll call mine “Hello Health.”
I’ve always dreamed of having a butler and a chef. My wife tells me they are intrinsic properties, two aspects of a being called a husband.
Hi Alex, I don’t eat meat/fish but in keto with eggs and other vegetarian foods. You simplify your list of food which suits you in keto and slowly experiment with varieties there. I prepare my self my keto cookies and cake at home in advance and pack it whenever I travel anywhere. Roast some peanuts for time pass snacks/munching. Drink lemon water/coconut water sometimes. Have plain coffee with butter/coconut oil…I mean whatever suits you in Keto just practice for somedays. Be positive and learn to manage stress. It will work. all the best.
A meal like that would need lots of chemicals in it to survive the travel. Therefore, not healthy.
But I understand your frustration.
If money isn’t a problem, you could order takeaway from restaurants near you. It’d take research to find what is ok in their menus, but once your list was ready, you’d just make a phone call and get your meal.
Here we can pay a person to come cook in our place, meal prepping, then freeze. The person comes, cooks with your ingredients, your recipes. If you’d pay extra, they could download the recipes and do the shopping, I suppose. Perhaps you can find such a service close to you.
I like the idea, but the restaurants are using dodgy oils and there are no easy keto menus, really. A chap up there suggested “hello health”… is it something people would use?
Cheese, hard cooked eggs, spinach, celery, lettuce, roasted chicken, cooked beef or pork ribs, summer sausage, pepperoni, pork rind, pickles, are all easily found in most markets. A small insulated lunch bag. Done.
And I throw in one of those cold pack ice bags that I used to get with my insulin deliveries!
(I don’t need insulin anymore)
I do not find it that hard. There are a lot of temptations and opportunities to partake in snacks and stuff that I have to just say no to. People get used to that. I think having lost my weight and maintain most people respect my choices. The biggest problem is social events where food is the major component. I may fast for those or fast after them to readjust. I do not see any issue with convenience. To me it is just as fast to prepare something keto than something non keto. Good luck to you!!! If you build it, they will come.
I think you are overthinking it a bit. No, you are no longer going to be able to pop into the local store and grab a sandwich or microwaveable meal…but that doesn’t mean you are now going to spend your life prepping food now…unless you want to.
Buy an assortment of raw protein, season &stick them all in the oven, pack in Tupperware and stick in fridge and/or freezer. Do it on a Sunday and you are set for the week.
Buy those large frozen vegetable bags that have mini microwavable pouches. You can also buy microwaveable packs of cauliflower rice.
Buy some keto bread, pizza bases, wraps etc and stick in freezer. There is even keto granola and keto porridge on Amazon, if that takes your fancy.
If you are on the go, I find Japanese grills to be keto friendly. You can get breakfasts like " Egg, bacon and sausages" from restaurants. If in a bind, get a relatively clean burger and ditch the buns (most restaurants understand what a bunless burger is by now).
Like…there are options. You just need to rewire a bit. Keep looking in the food thread on here…so many ideas for quick lunches.
