Hi, I’m in the Dallas area too!!! I would like to know too. I’m looking for a new doctor too.

I wonder if you could start with these guys? I have no idea if they’re just an expensive new-agey thing or not, but they seem like they might have a clue, at least, or might be able to recommend a GP. Maybe. :unamused:

Jerrettscott if we can’t find a doctor maybe we can form a support group at least !! ?

Here’s a list of links to help you find a doctor in Dallas…or anywhere.

How to Find a Doctor Supportive of LowCarb/Keto/Paleo Diets

There are a number of resources to help you find medical care supportive of a reduced carbohydrate way of eating. Some lists include not only medical doctors, but chiropractors, naturopaths, nutritionists, RDs, etc. Some are for general practitioners, some for Obesity specialists. With any recommendation, check the website/reviews or phone the office directly to learn more about the doctor’s philosophy on diet.

Dr. Eric Westman at Duke Lifestyle Clinic and Heal Clinics. https://healclinics.com
New branches and remote health coaching may be available.

ObesityMedicine.org (USA and Canada)
Click Find a Clinician. Members may not necessarily use a low carb diet, but many have now been trained in a low carb clinic plan module by Eric Westman, chairman and past president. Members are obesity medicine specialists, not bariatric surgeons.

Low Carb USA Provider list (USA): https://www.lowcarbusa.org/low-carb-providers/lchf-doctors/

Public Health Collaboration. Map of UK GPs https://phcuk.org/map/ Also map for Nutritionists and Ambassadors who may help you find supportive real food health care./

Re-Find Health: https://re-findhealth.com (was Primal Docs) (International)

Paleo Physicians Network: http://paleophysiciansnetwork.com (International)

Find Low Carb Doctors (Jimmy Moore’s old list): http://lowcarbdoctors.blogspot.com

There are also many Low Carb RDs and Diabetes Educators around the world, and most offer consulting via Skype. In addition to above resources

More lists within article on LC Dietitians. https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/for-dietitians
And of course, Google Low Carb Physician plus location.

Note…Yet again I cannot get rid of the last three previews.

Hi All, I’m in Dallas and was going to start a Meetup group for low carb and intermittent fasting. Did you guys already start meeting??

(Alijim) #10

Hi @Shay_Mitchell, did you find a keto doctor?
I’m looking as well. All these links point to nowhere haha. I’ve called many of those doctors and they say they do not know how they got on that list.

My total cholesterol is in the 400’s. I’ve been keto since January.

Sharla
I tried multiple times but the Meetup app would take my money then would not let me create a new group. I paid twice it cleared thru the credit card but nothing. Worked with there customer support and I just now got my money back. I would love to see a group started here. Keep me posted and let me know how I can help

(Shay Mitchell) #12

Alicia
I did her name is Dr Anne Coleman she is in Richardson

(Sharla Clark) #13

I was able to get one setup on Meetup!!!

Check out this Meetup with Low Carb & Intermittent Fasting http://meetu.ps/e/FNJFf/GWlGS/d

I have it setup over lunch. I have a four year old so I could do an evening instead if it was later like 7:30 or 8:00. Let me know. I’d really like this to work!

(Shay Mitchell) #14

I singed up !! I work so the later the better
Can’t wait

(Sharla Clark) #15

Oh yay!!! Are you in Dallas proper? I’m in East Dallas. I also moved it to the following week. My husband is out of town this week so I can’t do an evening until he is back.

(Shay Mitchell) #16

I actually live north in Frisco but I am welling to drive. But I work full time 8-4pm most days. I have a 18 yr old son and a 12 yr old daughter They can take care of themselves until there dad gets home. How old is your child? You can bring her/him if you like. Has anyone else signed up ??

(Sharla Clark) #17

Hi! No one else has responded. I think I’m going to have delete the one I setup and start over because it keeps reverting back to the original time.

My daughter is 4 so I could only meet early if we did like 5 so I could get her to bed on time. My preference is later if that’s ok with you?

(Sharla Clark) #19

Hi Shay, I didn’t see this message until just now. I set up a new Meetup for Thursday night at 7:30 at Cafe Brazil off 75. That’s at least a little bit closer for you. Here’s the link to the Meetup but no one has responded yet.
