Lets talk man-boobs

I’m T,T. Plus an expanded CAG repeat, 50, on the androgen receptor gene which causes SBMA, aka Kennedy’s disease, an ALS like, but slower, wasting disease with gynecomastia as a typical clinical sign. But since going keto and getting obsessed with fitness my trajectory has changed from rapid decline to slow improvement. My genes loaded the gun and keto is my kevlar vest.

A few years ago I could have been any of the gentlemen seated in the front row of this pic. But now I’m enjoying my body again and expecting a long satisfying future.

I’m so glad you found keto. Shit I’m glad we all did.

That works, but if building muscle is the main goal you’re better off increasing weight. If your rep range is say 8-10 and you’re not failing there better to up the weight so you DO fail there. You can do AMRAP but use it sparingly or only on the last set. Kind of the same as when people over use drop sets. You can lift half your capacity and push it until your muscles are on fire and your arms/legs are completely useless, but it’s the muscle failure and tearing that ultimately makes you grow. My workouts are all in microcycles so a week at 12-15, then 10-12, 6-8, 3-5 as you go each week you go heavier, when you come back around to the higher rep ranges the weight should be able to increase. Great for stopping a plateau from happening. You can also cycle whether you do AMRAP, Drop Sets, or rest pause sets which helps a lot as well. Gotta see what works for you.
