I do eat dairy but not a lot all the time.
Mainly fats are MCTs, extra virgin coconut oil, butter

It takes a while for the body to correct what we have done to it over the years. It looks like you are on the right track with your info you provided. I’m sure your fasting blood glucose is lowering and soon the weight will start to come off. I know people throw around KCKO but it’s probably true in this case. Listen to some of the 2 keto dudes podcasts again on deranged metabolism. Stick with the plan and let your metabolism correct itself.

I would also suggest to post your question in the women’s subforum. They would have some comments that I am unable to provide about hormones.

Not sure if this would be helpful to either of you but I had issues for a year and started testing blood glucose reactions and weight gain reactions to ALL foods I ate, and elimated/ controlled the following:
all sweeteners
Nuts/nut butters
Cheeses/cream cheese
Heavy cream (just use a little in tea)
Coconut oil
Since I dropped these and use them only occasionally or as a treat, my weight has started dropping again. Hope it helps.
I also track my GKI every other day or so.

Thanks! Actually I think I’m going to do this

You’re welcome. I was so sure I knew what I was doing until I tested…wow, was I shocked, embarassed…talk about a wake up call! Best thing that ever happened to me.

Remember that not all fat needs to come from your food nor should it. If you have fat to lose first make sure you’re getting adequate protein and greens and then eat to satiety with fats. You might find that your fat from food intake doesn’t need to be at that 75% level. That works great at the beginning during the fat adaptation phase but once your hunger and satiety hormones get back in line you may find that you need much less food in general. This has been my experience anyway.

This makes a lot of sense! Thank you!

How long after eating these items did your test your blood glucose?

30, 60 minutes and 2 hours out.
