If your body is missing some nutrients (or enough of them) it will drive you to eat.
There’s a full spectrum of amino acids and most of us only get the muscle meats. Make sure you have the collagen/gelatin spectrum. Make sure you have the range of vitamins and minerals.
(And make sure you’re getting enough of both protein and fat. Many people get too little fat because they’re satiated. When I do that I lose energy and nosh for food.)
