Keto and euphoria

Sleep has much improved too. Very vivid and detailed dreams.

The other night I had a dream I was on one of the Hawaiian islands, didnt know which, and it was flooding. We had to get on a boat and head north. We ended up in shallow water that had a lot of mangrove roots in it but no trees. Our boat would get stuck on the roots, and we ended up walking on the roots to reach the next island. There were thousands of little colorful fish darting around the roots. And a bunch of sharks. They were preoccupied with the boat so we continued onto shore. The mangrove trees were growing thick together near the shore so we could get clear of the water and sharks. I had an idea to distract the sharks with the shiny fish that were everywhere. Which ended up getting the sharks stuck in the roots where they could no longer keep moving, and not able to breath. Sharks need to move forward to breath, constantly.

Once on the new island we made it to my hangar (I never had my own hangar before, was pretty cool) where I had a small version of the Spruce Goose waiting. This version used turbo fan engines instead of props. Once airborne I had entered a destination in my GPS for some place in Antartica. Something about monkeys being found at the south pole had my interest so I wanted to investigate. It was a very long trip. I swear it took days. We knew we had arrived because it was mid day but completely dark. We landed on an ice patch, and prepped our monkeys we brought to find the others.

Seemed like we hiked for hours. We discovered an ice cave going down into the ice… and thats when I woke up. I had never had such a vivid dream before. I’m pretty sure I woke up in the same position I laid in when I went to sleep. Total elapsed time, maybe an hour? But it felt like i had a full eight hours sleep. My legs were still sore from all that hiking too.

No euphoria here. Just weight loss and the concomitant benefits.

My guess is that you did not tend overeat much before keto.

That would be a wrong guess. Or perhaps I ate the wrong things. I weighed 320 when I started. Goal is 180. Long way to go. Still, no euphoria, or extra clear mental state, or immunity from infection, or cures of any of my other non-weight related health issues. Just what I was hoping for - weight loss and avoidance of potential type 2 diabetes.

Maybe excessive weight is the way of feeling clearer mentally and phisically, it is just too much. I started at 112 kg, now 88, I’d say below 95 I began to be happy for no particular reason, enjoy life for the fact of it. The body becomes like a fountain of joy, you feel great you can control it… like decades ago in the school gym. So good luck and keep moving, it’s worth it!

I’ll let you know if that ever starts.
