Is keto affecting my liver?

@Capnbob already summed it up well. Where societies don’t have a word to describe a concept, one is invented. It may be a slang word.

Look at the word “umami” for example. It’s a taste word describing meaty richness. Woke describes the concept of being aware and trying to advance beyond societal constraints. In this case, a teenager who is doing keto versus SAD would be considered woke. Language will always change. I’m quite confident that you use words daily that you wouldn’t think about being the same as the word “woke.” But, at the time those words were made, there was someone like you that had a negative opinion of it.

I agree, Except for the fact that “woke” was a racial, political and socially divisive term that was a invented by Black Lives matter to described a black person who is “aware” “awake” “awakened” “conscious” of the fact that all white people are essentially out to get them. The same group that became so “woke” they started burning down their own neighborhoods and traveling to others to do spread the unrest and mayhem to other cities whenever they felt they could get in front of a camera, the same group that started beating up white people on the street because of THEIR color somehow in the interest of racial equality? Same people who claimed BLM prior to murdering police officers and publicly stating “kill cops and crackers” the same group that was labeled by many states as a Domestic Terror Group, sorry if I have issues with them and their words that are completely redundant to our language. It’s a little different than the natural evolution of a language!

Apoligies to KidKeto’s liver for the partial highjack, back to our regularly scheduled thread.

I was trying to find a definition of un-woke but you thankfully provided a very full one just there. Thanks.

Luckily for you, woke has full traversed the span from “domestic terrorism” to mainstream usage.

I’ll just leave this here.
