Excellent jerky recipe! You can also place the jerky on a cookie sheet, place it I the oven at 170 - 180 deg. Takes a few hours. It’s done when internal temperature is 165 or when you bend a piece it breaks apart easily. I usually smoke mine on an offset smoker using Texas Post oak. That’s the best way if you have a smoker. If not a dehydrator or the oven will work just fine.

Egypt for 3 weeks suggestions;

E-visa much faster than on arrival
Tipping is very commonplace if a cop stops traffics for you to cross the road they make expect a tip
Don’t get your picture taken by a camel or on one as they will hassle and extort you loads of scams and street hussles
Petty crime can be pretty widespread
Always ask for prices and haggle
If you pay anyone use your right hand
Don’t drink the tap water but it is probably ok to brush teeth in decent hotels loads of chlorination
A local SIM card willl be handy
Nile river cruises on decent ships are expensive

So much to see! What an amazing country with wonderful people
