I remembered that my sister tried that before. No use.
I am wondering about the kitchen cleaning thing
Easy buy at any health store including Whole Foods - will not hurt floors and a great degreaser (get mine from DoTerra wholesale). Plus your house will smell wonderful and orange is an energizing affect.
Best advice ever! Low and slow with splatter shield.
I actually oven bake bacon - I use a roasting pan (slitted top with a pan under it). Bacon lies across the slits and the fat goes into the pan (which I then put in mason jars for later use). Bacon gets a wonderful bake. Sometimes I undercook to just warm and finish on the stove with eggs but most of the time I put it in Ziploc bags for easy access throughout the week. Doing a 3 lb batch on the weekends means keeping the “mess” to smaller windows and easier on the cleanup (although in oven cleanup is really just the pans).
Vinegar can destroy the sealant on your hardwoods over time. I use a little bit of dish detergent if oil splatters on the floor and then rinse with a ecloth. Otherwise I just wash with a damp ecloth no soap. Www.ecloth.com
IMO, the most important thing to do after cooking is to simply wipe/soak up excess oil/fat immediately. On my stove and surrounding areas I use several paper towels. On my floor I use a push broom, with an old T shirt slid down the handle and spread over the brush.
Afterwards on the stove I use a hot water rag with a little Dawn, on the floor another T shirt with Dawn as well. I’ve also go to placing tin foil around my burners, it’s easier to just replace it when it gets gunked up.
I’m contemplating replacing my kitchen flooring. It’s just that I haven’t yet found flooring with a “muddy paw print” pattern…
Hahaha - I have a family member always complaining about the grease too! Am constantly cleaning and wiping mainly with vinegar but it is never enough!
