Hypertension

I couldn’t agree more, and just to add to this, they really should never make a medical diagnosis based on a single measurement even under calm circumstances.

I read another section here on being unable to get off hypertension meds (I’m on Lisinopril and Spironolactone currently, and have been for a long time), and can’t get free of them after 7 months on Keto. Keto diet has done wonders for me, including A1c down from 5.9 to 5.2, Triglycerides way down, HLC up, and feeling great overall. Also lost 40lbs, and am at my target weight.

My conventional doc tells me its just my genetics, and nothing can be done about it. I don’t buy this. I’ve been flirting with iodine supplementation, and wondering if it might help me get past the stall. On another forum (for Iodine) someone said their iodine use seemed to conflict with the med Lisinopril, and when she quit the med, she stopped having heart palpitations and her BP seemed to stabilize. Seems for me, may be about Adrenal gland and elevated hormone Aldosterone, which was noticed a couple years ago. Nothing found on the gland however…
I wonder if anyone here had a similar experience regarding med interactions with iodine?
