Holiday Hacks?

Being New Year’s Eve, my wife and I are going to our daughter and her husband’s house with some other folks who work with my daughter and couldn’t get home. My daughter recently lost 120 lbs. on keto, but is now pregnant and eating whatever she wants. But we’re having fondue tonight, which I can keep pretty keto. Last night I peeled and deveined 2.5 lbs. of shrimp for the fondue. She’ll also have beef and chicken. I won’t touch the chocolate fondue for dessert, which is no problem for me at all. I’ve been off sugar for decades and haven’t even had a nibble of a cookie or other sweet all December. Tomorrow, back to pure clean keto until I hit my goal weight of 185 (from 192).

We’ve got the best / worst situation for New Years, a traditional neighborhood block party. Everyone will bring something, and every single thing anyone brings will be a homemade sweet treat. It’s amazing, probably the most social event we attend all year; bonfire, loads of booze, music … And probably cold wind and snow flurries. At least it’s not a rainy year.

I say best / worst because nothing there will be keto except what I bring and the homemade stuff is always the most tempting to me. Best, because I can eat ahead of time or pop home if I want something in the middle and no one will notice or be offended.
