Other than getting a diagnostic test, is there a way to know if you have gallstones? I would love to try the flush but have no idea if I need it in the first place. Gallstones are a problem for some of my relatives (more distant) and I ate a high carb diet except for the last 7 years (it was moderate until keto)
Gallstones on Keto and IF Diet
Liza,
Thanks for sharing. I found that same remedy and had not tried it yet - now I will as preventative maintenance. Thanks.
Liza, I would recommend strong caution for the type of flush that you are doing. Many times a stone can get stuck in the bile ducts causing pain and complications leading up to surgery. If you are going to flush your gallbladder, which I do recommend, I would strongly encourage you to do it in a slightly different way.
There are a few herbs that have been found to help with gallbladder stones. My husband takes Stone Breaker, which is an herb blend that has helped him anytime he has had another kidney stone or gallbladder attack. The pain is relieved and if he passes a stone it happens smoothly and pain free.
We’ve had less problems with that now that our bodies are adapting to keto.
But my personal favorite is gold coin grass. There is a TCM protocol that is absolutely wonderful for doing a slow, thorough flush over a period of six to eight weeks. The tinctures that you take are horrible tasting but I feel pretty confident that they actually help to dissolve the stones and cleanse your liver in preparation for flushing the gallstones.
There is a lovely old woman in Toronto who is a TCM practitioner and runs a website that I will link to at the bottom. There is an absolute ton of not just testimonials but instructions regarding these teachers and best results plus she will usually do a bit of a mini consultation by email before you order if you like. I was very impressed when I emailed asking about several other teachers in addition to the gallbladder flush pack that she sells. She had every opportunity to sell me about three or four hundred dollars worth of product but she only said to purchase the gallbladder flush products because it would do everything I needed. I’ve used them and we’ve been very happy with them.

I’m an herbalist (Western) and almost an ND so I try to help people out where I can. Hope this helps!
Thanks Gabrielle,
I will look into that. I’m in my final year of study to be a Naturopath, so I do love my herbs!
Liza.
I finally tried a portion of the liver and gallbladder flush, it certainly improved my situation.
I read online that if you are worried about the apple juice then you can take Malic Acid instead which is the active ingredient in apple juice, 500 mg a day x3 doses so 1500 which is supposed to soften the stones. I have no idea if this is safe or effective nor do I have any medical background, just repeating what I read
Wanted to point out that the person who started this thread has not been back in months and this was his only thread so wonder how he is doing
I’m getting ready to do a liver and gallbladder cleanse myself. I’m wondering how to do this being on keto since in the days leading up to the clowns the diet recommend is a lot of the things I eat on a regular basis.
