It took me awhile to actually get around to getting some glucose testing strips, and then I had to wait for this to happen again (doesn’t happen very often anymore). I’ve only had my testing kit with me once so far when the flushing has happened, so this may not be of much value, but I was “disappointed” to see my blood sugar was dead normal! I think it was something like 5.6 (100)?
Flushing after eating
Hi Paige, thanks for sharing your experience, I am experiencing the same symptoms as you. Did you find a solution so far? I went through many medical checks but no solution/ clue so far. Thanks, Alessio
Hi Crystal1, thank you very much for sharing your experience. Unfortunately I am having same symptoms as you, I went through many medical checks but no answer and no therapy. Did you solve your problem? Thank you in advance. Alessio
Sorry I don’t have this issue.
But unless you have a test measuring blood glucose and insulin (preferably the 3 hour test) I wouldn’t assume it is the insulin and hypoglycaemia causing your flushing hot face,
I have a dear friend who was taking her thyroid meds incorrectly for years and was always very red faced whilst and after eating… and her face was damp and sweaty, very unpleasant for her.
Now she’s taking her thyroid meds correctly, no facial flushing whatsoever,
I have severe hypoglycaemia and never have a flushed face during or after eating,
I have no thyroid issues…
