You’re awesome! Keep it up!
@$#% Dietician
And that’s the difference between people with a “career”, and people with a “calling” to heal people.
Company line vs. evidence.
I had a similar encounter with a dietitian here in Jonesboro Arkansas, she preached that grey frothy smoke (and mirrors) about the ADA diet. I fell for it, for 3 whole months. NEVER AGAIN! Had I just keep calm and keto’d on, I’d be over 100 #s now… I’m down 70 though, and dropped my A1c from 5.4 to 4.9 and I’m much more confidant in myself.
Carl & Richard , you guys ROCK!
Renee keep up the good work, KCKO!!
Thanks Scott
I too followed all the advice of the dieticians, all I got for my trouble but blood sugar in the high 200. So very glad I found keto and health.
Awesome thread… can’t wait to hear more about your adventures with Tina!!
Tina… get some ham!
Now that I think about it my older Tofi T2 relative was visited by the Endocrinology NP or something when in the hospital for CVD. She was there to discuss diet. When she said up to 60 carbs she sort of made a face to say, this is what I have to say! I could be imagining it but she knew that was way too many carbs. Or maybe I am imagining it because how could someone tell a patient who is desperately ill to eat carbs if she knew it was wrong? Maybe they believe the holy grail of whole grains being healthy?
Would you deliberately tell someone who is asking for directions the wrong way to get somewhere?
But that’s what they do. In hoping out if ignorance but you have to wonder.
I requested a dietician appointment. I saw a student and a jaded looking dietician who was really annoyed with me wanting to ask them about the ketogenic diet (apparently not sustainable) and fasting (you will die). Felt really sorry for the student who was being told to push the ‘diabetic’ ‘‘Eatwell’’ plate.
The people here in the UK who make up the panel on what constitutes the alleged ‘‘eatwell’’ plate have to disclose their interests which include amongst other things - involvement in research or shares in companies such as Kellogg’s, Nestle, GSK and many, many more. Also our governments’ most recent conference was sponsored by Tate and Lyle so there is no escape from state sponsored lies around eating
