Recently learned I am casein sensitive so the dairy seems to be slowing my weight loss (not due to calories or protein grams or insulin response so I am told). I decided to cut dairy for two weeks to see what happens but now find I am struggling to get in enough fat without the cream and butter and CHEESE! There are only so many bullet proof hot beverages I can drink in a day as a way to get in more fat. Fatty protein helps but I have to limit my protein to around 60 grams so I have to pay attention.

I suspect I am intolerant to casein (protein) in cheese. I am dropping the cheese for the next couple of weeks.
My symptoms are mouth discomfort (skin peeling on roof of mouth), bloating and some joint pain (esp on bottom of feet). Also farting.
What are the symptoms you notice?

A couple of ounces a day of hard cheddar or Romano goes with my eggs and bacon and grease! I can’t allow more or I’d eat a block, and cream cheese and others are harder to portion out.
But for me it’s a crutch-food.

I have worked cheese back into my eating, but just way less. I don’t have too many problems if I keep it in check.
